How Autograph works
Your Autograph is your signature

The Autograph program allows you to effortlessly record how and at what speed your vehicle is driven. Think of it as your signature driving style.

Step 1

The Autograph device is easily installed in most cars manufactured in 1996 or later. Plugging it into your car typically takes seconds. Once connected, the Autograph device records specific information about the vehicle's use, including speed, distance driven and time of day. This information remains in the device until you choose to download it to your computer.

Step 2

Using the Autograph software also provided, you can transfer your Autograph data to your personal computer to review your driving behaviour.

You'll then be able to find out whether you've earned a discount - of up to 25% off your premium! Moreover, your premium cannot be raised based on this information.

Step 3

After the first fourteen weeks, you will be invited to upload your information. Simply by choosing to upload, you'll receive an immediate 5% discount for the next six months and potentially more!

Once you upload your data, you will be able to review how your vehicle was driven over a specified time period as well as view your discount. You'll be able to see how your driving during this period directly lowers your insurance premium.

Alternatively, you may choose not to submit the data with no penalty whatsoever.

We recognize and respect that for some people the use of technology to collect personal information raises important concerns. For more information about how this data will be used please click here.
